Mental and Emotional health leads us to live a life in harmony with ourselves and our environments. When this is disturbed it affects us in all areas of our lives, often also causing physical illness and conditions in the body.
The knowledge of yogic physiology and psychology sees this as imbalance in the pranas or energies in the body and offers techniques through the practices of hatha and raja yoga to help redress this balance and to move towards a state of harmony, acceptance and understanding.
For whom is this workshop?
The workshop would be suitable for those who have some experience of yoga, but also those who have suffered from anxiety and/or depression and are looking for ways to help manage themselves. Professionals or yoga teachers working in the field of mental and emotional wellbeing will also find the programme of interest and value.
Content of the workshop
The workshop will consist of yoga classes including asana and pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation techniques, together with talks, group work and the use of sound and chanting.
The workshop will take place in English.

Sannyasi Brahmananda, London
Sn. Brahmananda was initiated into karma sannyasa by Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati in 1988, in Munger, India. In the years since that day he has returned to the ashrams in Munger and Rikhia many times, to deepen his studies and experience, attend programmes and immerse himself in karma yoga and seva. He spent many years as director and course coordinator of the Satyananda Yoga Academy Europe.
He resides in London where he has been teaching for 12 years, offering general and private classes in many different environments: adult education, children and adults with special needs, autistic children, mental health, as well as running day programmes and courses in a variety of topics such as, meditation, yoga psychology and yantra drawing for those who wish to take their experience of yoga deeper.
